Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals: Possible Genesis of Ovarian Tumors

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Prolonged exposure to environmental toxicants like endocrine-disrupting chemicals has been linked several ovarian pathologies. Exposure may start at any time of life from the fetal stage adulthood resulting in various health complications The purpose our study is compare concentration levels and association benzopyrene, bisphenol A genistein patients with tumors normal control group. We also sort evaluate predictive performance tumors. Methods: case-control was conducted for randomly selected participants involving 30 controls. radiologically diagnosed histopathological confirmed were included between January 2022 December 2022. Urine samples each group analyzed using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Descriptive analysis normally distributed continuous variables done accordingly. Concentration assessed Mann-Whitney test. pathological binary logistic regression. Evaluation diagnostic ROC curve. Results: Overall, significantly (P = 0.000) older than healthy Mean years (SD) 36.7 (7.90) 28.8 (4.89) women respectively. Endometriomas had highest incidence 50%. level benzopyrene higher those group, while Benzopyrene associated cysts, cysts positively correlated these EDCs, OR value 64.79 0.005) 9.609 0.001) A. Endocrine disrupting chemicals

The idea that xenobiotic chemicals could inappropriately modlate the endocrine system thereby causing detrimental effects n wildlife and humans was first proposed 20 years ago at the atershed Wingspread Conference [1,2]. These endocrine disruptng chemicals (EDCs) have long been controversial, with a great eal of discussion raging in the scientific literature. Much of this ontroversy has centere...

Cryptorchidism and endocrine disrupting chemicals

Prospective clinical studies have suggested that the rate of congenital cryptorchidism has increased since the 1950s. It has been hypothesized that this may be related to environmental factors. Testicular descent occurs in two phases controlled by Leydig cell-derived hormones insulin-like peptide 3 (INSL3) and testosterone. Disorders in fetal androgen production/action or suppression of Insl3 a...

Effects of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals on Seals

At the same time harbour porpoises, that had died of a similar virus, appeared stranded on the beaches. Two years later another mass die-off occurred in the Mediterranean striped dolphin populations. The severe and lethal outcomes of the epidemics led many in the scientific community to believe that a contaminantinduced immune deficiency was responsible for the high mortality during the epidemi...

Risk Evaluation of Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals

We review here our studies on early exposure to low doses of the estrogenic endocrine-disrupting chemical bisphenol A (BPA) on behavior and metabolism in CD-1 mice. Mice were exposed in utero from gestation day (GD) 11 to delivery (prenatal exposure) or via maternal milk from birth to postnatal day 7 (postnatal exposure) to 10 mg/kg body weight/d of BPA or no BPA (controls). Bisphenol A exposur...

Chemical communication threatened by endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Communication on a cellular level--defined as chemical signaling, sensing, and response--is an essential and universal component of all living organisms and the framework that unites all ecosystems. Evolutionarily conserved signaling "webs," existing both within an organism and between organisms, rely on efficient and accurate interpretation of chemical signals by receptors. Therefore, endocrin...
